Little Steps Towards Achieving Goals

Everybody want to be on top of the mountain.. and if it is easy to conquer.. everybody wants to be the first to reach the top. Unfortunately there are no short cut to climb the mountain, we need to get ourself pysically and mentally ready for the challenge.

You need to get proper exercise and physical activities to get us ready in dealing with and overcoming conditions such as depression, stress, anxiety, low confidence and low self-esteem. Get yourself mentally ready, go for a fitness program that provide training, support, advice, motivation. By doing so, you will gain the additional benefit of having a focus, a positive experience and a real sense of achievement.

Same goes in life.. everybody wants to be successful.. to be be powerful… to be known.. or in other word simply to be somebody. But to achieve that goal in life, there are challenges we need to face, sacrifices we need to take and it is not easy but it is possible if we are willing to do it.

Start with something small, maybe you want to lose weight. As easy as its sound, but if it were really that simple, none of us would have weight problem, would we? Weight loss can be such struggle when we start thinking we have to do something drastic to see results, such as diets, exercise routine or tempted to take any pills or buy any fitness gadgets on tv commercial that promise instant success.

Just like climbing the mountain, we start with little steps.. one step at a time.. slowly and take it easy. To lose weight, you can start with dietary supplements for weight loss and control your food intake, then you can start with your routine exercise.

You might also need to learn how to calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate). Your BMR is what your body needs to maintain normal functions like breathing and digestion. This is the minimum number of calories you need to eat each day. Calculate your activity level. Use a calorie calculator to figure out how many calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, etc. throughout the day. It helps to keep a daily activity journal or you could even wear a heart rate monitor that calculates calories burned.

To achieve any goals in life, i believe we need to learn, plan and act. When you start taking little steps eventually you will reach the top. Trying is better than not doing anything.
